I had the pleasure of working with Tony & Black Tie Groove at a recent wedding, for which I was the planner. Although I did not hire them, I’m so glad that my clients did. Tony was my point of contact ahead of the wedding and he was friendly, responsive, and thorough throughout the entire planning process. It was a rather large band and unfortunately, I did not get the chance to interact with each member, but those I did speak to were wonderful and the talent of the band as a whole is immeasurable! They had the crowd on their feet until the very last song. I would recommend them again and again and hope to work together in the future.

We first met Black Tie Groove performing at the Surf City Hotel in LBI and immediately knew that we had to have them for our wedding one day. As a couple, we really love live music and knew how important a band would be to us. We are grateful we saved their card from that night - it was one of the BEST decisions that we made.
Tony and Erin were SUCH a pleasure to work with directly during the planning process and made sure that any/all requests that we had were thoroughly addressed. Their professionalism was simply top-notch and felt so personalized. Eric sang a cappella during our cocktail hour and our guests could NOT believe how talented he was. He covered a wide range of genres that he absolutely nailed. I hired Black Tie Groove for my wedding this past weekend at the Art Factory. I LITERALLY cannot say enough good things about this band. From a logistics and planning perspective, the band was right on top of everything. Before the wedding, they helped me and my spouse think through and sequence our big day, providing really helpful guidance along the way. On the day-of, they arrived early to set up and rehearse. And during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, they absolutely blew the crowd away. It was like going to a concert. The floor was packed the entire time and my guests (and me) could not get enough. I'm still getting unsolicited texts and calls telling me how incredible the band was. Do not hesitate to book Black Tie Groove! I would do it all over again if I could!

We put much deliberation into which band to choose for our wedding as we felt they would be the most important part. We chose Black tie groove based on seeing them live but what we were really astounded by was how great they were through the entire process. The band leader was proactive with communication, clear and instilled trust. The night of the wedding they were simply fantastic. They surpassed all possible expectations, i have been lucky to see several high end wedding bands and without a doubt Black tie groove surpassed all of them. During cocktail hour the soloist was phenomenal, people could not believe how great his performance was. During the main reception they performed music that got all generations on the dance floor. Their performance quality was flawless and the set list was great. I cannot give a high enough recommendation, I can't imagine why anyone would even consider anyone else. They were simply the best in every aspect.

Any time you’re having a big party there are two things everyone remembers: the food and the music. You just have to get them right, especially when it’s Live Music. For my wife’s 50 th Birthday Bash I was in charge of music- and thanks to Black Tie Groove, I got it right- Hire them for your party and you will too. Tony is very easy to work with, and we were fairly demanding about what we wanted to hear. We wanted an upbeat party (no sad songs and no love songs) and we made numerous song selections from their song list to reflect that. The band took it all in stride and played most if not all our requests
(encompassing widely different eras and styles!) and did it with great craftsmanship and professionalism. Off the stage between sets they were also very friendly and mingled with many of our guests. Now months removed from the party, friends and family still talk about it. You can probably tell that I feel rather smug about it setting the bar for big birthdays in our small circle- and an integral part of that was the performance of Black Tie Groove. You want to set the bar with your party? Get Black Tie Groove… and make sure the food is great too.
